Frontend Developer
Build fast, accessible marketplace pages and the templates we sell, with Astro, TypeScript and plain, modern CSS.
About the role
Pixmart is a static-first marketplace, and many of the templates we sell are Astro themes. As a Frontend Developer you build both: features on the marketplace and new website templates for our catalogue.
What you’ll do
- Build pages and components for the marketplace with Astro and TypeScript.
- Turn Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive and accessible templates.
- Keep pages fast: images, fonts and JavaScript under a tight budget.
- Write clear documentation so buyers can customise our templates.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of frontend experience with semantic HTML, modern CSS and TypeScript.
- Experience with a static site generator such as Astro, Eleventy or Next.js.
- Care for accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and performance.
- Comfort working from a design file with little hand-holding.
Nice to have
- You have published your own themes or templates.
- Experience with automated testing (Playwright).
- Interest in design systems.
