License
Product License
Effective Date:
Every product on Pixmart comes with a license that tells you how you may use it. This page explains the Personal, Commercial and Extended licenses in plain language. If something is not clear, ask us before you use a product.
1. Overview
When you download a product you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use it as described below. You do not become the owner of the product, and the license cannot be transferred to someone else.
2. Personal License
Free products come with a Personal license. You may use them in personal, non-commercial projects – your own portfolio, study work or experiments – and in projects for non-profit use.
3. Commercial License
Every paid product and every membership download includes a Commercial license. You may use the product in unlimited projects for yourself or for clients, including websites, apps, marketing materials and social media.
4. What You Can Do
With a Commercial license you may:
- use the product in unlimited personal and client projects;
- change, combine and adapt the product to fit your work;
- use a website template to build sites you or your clients run;
- use mockups, icons and graphics in designs you sell, such as a client logo presentation.
5. What You Can’t Do
Under any license you may not:
- resell, share or give away the original files, changed or not;
- include the files in a template, kit or bundle that you sell or offer for free;
- use the product in a logo or trademark you register;
- claim the product, or a lightly changed version of it, as your own original work.
6. Extended License
Need to use a product in something you sell many copies of – a SaaS product, a theme, a print-on-demand item or merchandise? Ask us for an Extended license. We will reply with a quote, usually within one working day.
7. Membership Plans
Products downloaded during an active Yearly or Lifetime plan carry a Commercial license. Projects you started while your plan was active stay licensed after the plan ends; new projects need an active plan or a single purchase.
8. Attribution
Attribution is not required for paid products, but it is always appreciated. For free products, a credit such as “Design assets from Pixmart” in your project or its description is welcome.
9. Third-Party Resources
Some products use fonts, photos or code from other sources. These keep their own licenses, which are listed in the product’s documentation. Make sure you follow them when you use the product.
